FINDtheADHDgirls: A Project of the Inattentive ADHD Coalition

FINDtheADHDgirls is a project launched by the Inattentive ADHD Coalition to raise awareness about the early signs of ADHD in girls—especially the inattentive type, which is so often missed.

Our mission is simple but urgent:

Help girls with ADHD get identified and supported before age 8.

Too many girls are overlooked because their struggles don’t match the stereotype. Instead of being hyperactive or disruptive, they’re quietly daydreaming, emotionally sensitive, or constantly trying to be “good” while falling behind in school or friendships.

When ADHD isn’t recognized early, it impacts self-esteem, academic performance, relationships, and mental health. The cost of missing it is too high.

At FINDtheADHDgirls, we offer:

  • ✅ Free, research-informed handouts and tools

  • 🎓 Interviews with ADHD experts, educators, and women diagnosed late

  • 📬 A monthly newsletter for parents, educators, and professionals

  • 🌀 A digital Resource Repository you can access at www.FINDtheADHDgirls.org/repository

We’re calling on parents, school professionals, therapists, and advocates to help spread the word.
